Reduce Recidivism is a youth-led initiative in Ghana committed to supporting the reformation and reintegration of juveniles in correctional centers. Founded by Tracy Frimpong in January 2025, the initiative empowers young offenders through hands-on vocational training, life skills development, and mentorship that foster self-reliance and restore dignity.
Our mission is to reduce recidivism and crime rates among young people by providing vocational training, skill development, and mentorship that facilitate effective rehabilitation and smooth reintegration into society.
Through practical training and personal development, we make the reformation journey more empowering and transformative. Participants gain confidence, purpose, and the tools needed to reintegrate successfully into society. By focusing on long-term change and working with communities to reduce stigma, we aim to break the cycle of reoffending and create opportunities for lasting impact.
Achievements
We foresee a Ghana with much lower crime and recidivism rates among young people and a society where ex-convicts are empowered, economically independent and can actively contribute to national development through self-employment opportunities.
