Building Peace, Restoring Lives: Reflections on the Peace Education Program

Peace is more than the absence of conflict; it is a mindset, a practice and a foundation for transformation. Over a series of sessions delivered in partnership with The Prem Rawat Foundation, we brought the Peace Education Program into the correctional centres where we work.
An Inner Foundation for Change
For young people carrying trauma, rejection and stigma, lasting change begins on the inside. The Peace Education Program guides participants to explore themes of dignity, choice, hope and inner strength — helping them recognise their own worth and imagine a different future.
Alongside our vocational and life-skills training, peace education addresses the inner change that makes outer change last. A young person who believes in their own value is far more likely to hold on to the skills, relationships and opportunities that keep them from reoffending.
Restoring Lives, Together
We are grateful to The Prem Rawat Foundation for partnering with us on this journey. Building peace within individuals is, ultimately, how we build safer, more compassionate communities — and how we reduce recidivism for good.
